If you only have 4 days for a safari in Kenya, we recommend visiting Lake Nakuru and the Lemek Conservation Area, which belongs to the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
This 4 days safari in Kenya is divided in two parts, the first one is a 1 day safari in Lake Nakuru. Once we pick you up from Nairobi (early in the morning) we will head to the lake for lunch and our first safari. We will sleep there.
The second part of the 4-day safari is located in the Masai Mara, inside a conservation area with much less cars than the National Reserve (where 99% of the cars go). You have more information about the Masai Mara in this link.
In our second part of the safari, we will enjoy perhaps the best safari you can do in Kenya: with practically no cars, no mass tourism, with Maasai guides, and with the option to walk and in the middle of the Masai Mara. We will see the best sunset in the world and have lunch in what is probably the most beautiful place you have ever eaten.
And all this, without forgetting the positive impact on the local communities, since the entire safari is managed by local Maasai communities and by an NGO that dedicates all the profits to the schooling of Maasai children. This type of regenerative safari in Kenya, also allows us to see the positive impact it has on the local population, in the form of education, protection of women and access to water among other projects.
In these 4 days of responsible safari with Maasai in Kenya we will be able to see the essentials of the Lemek Conservancy, an area belonging to the Maasai Mara with a great added value: it is an area inhabited and managed by the Maasai community, where they live in total harmony with the wildlife. Here there is no separation between the safari area and the area where the community lives, and also, not being a tourist area, the animals live much quieter. In fact, there are times of the year when they migrate to this area, fleeing the crowds of tourists in the National Reserve area.
This is one of the big differences with a conventional safari. In this 4-day safari in the Masai Mara in Kenya you will be able, with your Maasai guides, to be very close to the animals. There are no set hours, you can watch sunsets, walk through the savannah, return in the evening, or return to rest and later continue. From the camp, you will be 20 minutes by 4×4 to see the wildest nature.
In 4 days of responsible and supportive safari, besides enjoying the best company, eating exquisite food with local and sustainable recipes, we will be contributing to the entire Maasai community, since everything you invest in your adventure goes to them through the NGO with which we collaborate in Trip To Help. With your trip, you will be helping the schooling of hundreds of children, as well as vocational training programs and female empowerment of women in the area. You will get to know first hand all the projects that the NGO has, and you will be able to see their educational center which is located next to our lodging.
This way, you can travel and help at the same time. While on this 4-day Maasai Mara safari in Kenya with all the amenities, you will be leaving a positive impact in the area. In addition, you will be surprised by the tranquility and the low volume of tourists in this area, which can only be visited by those who stay here, and for this, they must contribute to the Maasai community.

This 4-day safari in the Masai Mara, Kenya, begins with our driver picking us up in Nairobi at 7 a.m. and taking us to Lake Nakuru.
We’ll arrive around lunchtime and begin the safari at Lake Nakuru.
Lake Nakuru offers a unique wildlife viewing experience in Kenya. It is famous for its pink flamingos, rhinos, and numerous bird species. The park is also home to lions, giraffes, and buffaloes. The landscapes combine savannah, forest, and a spectacular saline lake.
In the morning, we’ll head to our next destination: the Lemek Conservancy, which is part of the Masai Mara ecosystem.
We’ll have lunch, drop off our belongings, and set out on a safari to see two rhinos that are protected due to poaching. We’ll continue our second day of safari by witnessing the best sunset in the world. In the middle of the savannah, with breathtaking views, we’ll watch the sun set behind the trees while we gather around a campfire and enjoy a beer. We’ll return to our accommodation later in the evening.
After lunch, we’ll go on another safari until nightfall. We’ll watch the sunset from the Masai Mara — a unique experience that most tourists never get to live.
Today we will go on safari, all day. We will take the opportunity to see all the animals we have yet to see, such as elephants, lions, cheetahs, hippopotamus, zebras and buffaloes. We will have lunch in the middle of the Masai Mara under a tree that will allow us to rest and observe the fantastic natural environment in which we are. Another unforgettable, postcard-perfect experience.
On our last day, we will get up very early to go for a walk in the African savannah. During the excursion we will enter the savannah in the company of our Maasai warriors. 2-3 hours later, breakfast will be waiting for us in the middle of the savannah.
After breakfast, a car will take us to visit a Maasai women’s village: the Manyatta, where we will meet women who were expelled from their families for various reasons and are now being supported by the NGO. After seeing where they live and entering some of the homes, we’ll visit the handicraft market they have prepared for us. Any purchase made goes entirely to each woman, with no intermediaries or commissions, so by buying their crafts, we’re directly supporting their daily expenses. Of course, there is no obligation to buy.
We’ll return to the camp in the 4x4 vehicle and head back to Nairobi.
