At Trip to Help we help you find unique experiences around the world with positive social and cultural impact. Travel sustainably and contribute to local projects or communities with your trip.

See Experiences

If you travel for unique experiences but you don’t want it to be at the expense of the planet or the well-being of local communities, this is your place.

Traveling makes us grow, gives us priceless memories, teaches us to be more tolerant, and allows us to realize how we are part of a whole called nature.

If travel brings us so much, it’s only fair that we try to give back to the destination, its ecosystem and its community, something in return, right?

Here you will find sustainable, experiential and community-based tourism experiences, respectful and fair with the local ecosystem where they are located.

WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE TOURISM?

Sustainable travel means living experiences that take care of:

  • The conservation of ecosystems and the proper and balanced use of the natural resources of each destination.
  • The socio-cultural heritage and the continuity of local traditions and ways of life.
  • A fair distribution of the benefits that your trip brings, putting local communities at the center as the main beneficiaries, and contributing to a viable and sustainable economic development over time.

Travel experiences

Go on a safari in Tanzania to help provide schools and medical centers. Sleep with a Maasai family. Travel through the Peruvian Amazon jungle with a local from the Yarina community. Meet the chimpanzees of Gombe and sleep where Jane Goodall did.

No huge international chain hotels in front of the beach. No mass tours. No guides who only collect your tips and have no salary. No activities to take a picture and leave.

Here we are two travelers running away from it all. Here you will find authentic experiences that make you connect with nature and the people who live in each place and best of all: your trip will leave a positive footprint that will last longer than your vacation days.

For now, we offer experiences in Tanzania, Kenya and Peru. We will open new routes very soon!

reviews from our travelers

They prepared with care and detail our trip to Tanzania with our children of 11 and 9 years old and I only have words of gratitude.
This is not about choosing a travel company but about following a philosophy of life, respect the local people and their culture and a matter of social justice, contributing to the development of the local communities that make your experience possible.

Trip To Help is one of those concepts that make you think, why didn’t I discover this before? Sustainable and ethical travel, supporting the development of local communities, should be a requirement for all our trips.
Congratulations on what you have created!

It was spectacular! We decided to honeymoon in Tanzania (like many couples) but we wanted to contribute in some way to local development and it was the best choice we could make. The guide who accompanied us for 7 days was excellent, we learned a lot. Not to mention seeing the NGO’s projects and work done in person. Super happy with the trip and great memories 🙂

Amazing experience thanks to Trip to Help! Before traveling with my partner we had doubts about this type of experience with the Masai tribe, however we did not want to miss out on their culture. Thank goodness we found this company.
What I value most is that you know the information first hand and that you have the opportunity to see where the money you pay goes, visiting the schools, medical center, etc.

Why travel with Trip to Help?

LOCAL COMMUNITIES

We work closely with local businesses, community projects, cooperatives and NGOs. They are part of the team, part of the decisions, and part of the definition of each experience. They are at the center of this journey. They are not just guides.

YOU KNOW WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE

What you invest in your trip does not go to European tour operators or to travel companies that only pay the guides if they go out to work. We work with people who make a living wage, and 80% of what you pay goes to the local community.

RESPECT FOR THE PLANET

All our experiences have the nature at the core and take sustainability as a main principle, being realistic with the situation of each region. The objective is the conservation and good use of existing resources, always putting local development in the first place.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES

We have lived every experience we offer in first person. We act as travel curators to get to know each place and select the most authentic and responsible activities, working with each community or local person to define every detail.

What is not trip to help?

We are not voluntourism

Trip to Help does not organize volunteer trips. With the experience you choose, you will help the local population to have a dignified life, and you will contribute to the development of community projects. In some cases, good part of the amount you pay will go to an NGO that you can visit, but you won’t travel to work on those projects.

We are not an ordinary travel agency

We are travelers, we discover places in the world to offer you unique and impactful experiences where you already plan to go. Travel on your own and include a Trip to Help plan in your route. We are a travel agency, but we do not organize your entire trip, we do not book your flights, nor do we book your accommodations outside of these experiences.

Nature yes, but with return to the community

All our experiences are related to nature, but we do not organize excursions or outdoor activities without a relationship with the local community. That is, you will not find a trek to Fitz Roy, but you will find a few days in a village in the Peruvian Amazon jungle.

We do not work with European tour operators

Wherever you go, you will meet a local person, with his or her own project, or an employee of a company or NGO registered in the country you visit. We do not work with western companies that simply rely on local guides without offering good work conditions.
