Enjoy an unforgettable 3-day responsible safari in Tanzania, exploring three of the country’s most iconic national parks near Mount Kilimanjaro: Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and with your experience you will be contributing to education and health projects in the Arusha region.
Each day of this tour offers a chance to witness breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife, all while contributing to a cause that makes a positive impact through a partnership with a local NGO.
Your 3-day safari in Tanzania kicks off with a visit to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its stunning scenery and large herds of elephants. After being picked up by our guides, you’ll set out for this vast park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and the seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts an array of wildlife. Tarangire is home to elephants, zebras, giraffes, and with a little luck, you may also spot lions, cheetahs, and even elusive leopards.
The park is less crowded than some of the other parks, allowing for a more intimate experience with nature. As you drive through its varied landscapes, you’ll see not only the iconic African wildlife but also a wide array of bird species—Tarangire is a bird watcher’s paradise, boasting more than 500 species.
After a day filled with awe-inspiring wildlife encounters, you’ll retire to a comfortable lodge or campsite near the park, where you can relax and reflect on your first day of this safari in Tanzania.
On the second day of your 3-day responsible safari in Tanzania, you’ll journey to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most impressive wildlife reserves. Formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano collapsed, the crater is now home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. As you descend into the crater, the sheer scale and beauty of this natural wonder will take your breath away.
This is one of the best places in the world to see the Big Five—elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos—as well as a variety of other animals, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and hyenas, all living in harmony in this unique environment. The crater is also a bird lover’s paradise, with flamingos often seen wading in the soda lakes, while eagles and vultures soar above the grasslands.
Ngorongoro is not just about the wildlife; it’s about the breathtaking scenery. The vast, grassy plains, soda lakes, and towering cliffs create an almost surreal environment. Your guide will ensure that you see as much as possible while explaining the ecological and cultural significance of the area.
After a full day of wildlife viewing, you’ll head back to your lodge or campsite for a well-deserved rest.
Your final day will take you to the smaller but equally impressive Lake Manyara National Park. Though compact, the park offers a wide range of habitats, from forests to grasslands and, of course, the shallow alkaline lake from which it takes its name. The beauty of Lake Manyara lies in how close you’ll get to the wildlife—this is one of the best places to see animals up close.
Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare phenomenon that is fascinating to witness. As you drive through the park, you’ll also see elephants, zebras, baboons, and hippos. The park’s dense forests are home to a large number of monkeys, and the lake itself attracts thousands of flamingos, creating a stunning pink spectacle during certain seasons.
Lake Manyara provides a perfect conclusion to your 3 days safari in Tanzania, offering a more intimate experience with nature in a diverse ecosystem.
This 3-day Tanzania safari is not only an adventure but also a meaningful way to travel.
